jane and kevin's engagement session was smoking! literally. the gap fire was blazing in santa barbara and covered the sky like a dark brown blanket, so we decided to head up the coast to one of my favorite little "secret" beaches. we had the place to ourselves as we escaped the smoke and ash. jane and kevin were a blast to be around. they are so much in love, and it was great to watch kevin care for his bride to be as we had to climb up and down some tricky terrain.
i just had one of my favorite engagement sessions ever! the secret...feed the photographer. pete and krista are from laguna beach, and are going to have an amazing wedding on the beach here in santa barbara, and then a reception at krista's family home in hope ranch. this isn't just any home though, it has the absolute best location in all of santa barbara as it sits right on the beach where we took these engagement photos! i can't wait to show off the amazing artifacts from shipwrecks that were recovered and used to decorate the home. after the session, krista's family invited me to stay for fish tacos! if you know me, you know i LOVE fish tacos. what a wonderful evening!
katherine and jeremy are from arizona, and are going to have a beautiful destination wedding at fess parker's winery in october. they are both great people, and they both are in service to their community as jeremy is a fire fighter and katherine is a social worker. for their engagement session we had a blast cruising around downtown santa barbara. i can't wait for the wedding!
chris and traci live in texas but met at ucsb, so we returned to campus to shoot their engagement session. we had so much fun cruising around before ending up at the beach. i love traci, before she chose her date at the rincon beach club, she kept checking with me first to see if i was available! i can't wait for their amazing beach wedding in september!
a gorgeous day in santa barbara, and a gorgeous couple. everything about tim and diana's wedding was amazing. they were married on east beach and had the reception across the street at hotel mar monte. what a fun day!
nick and tammy are such great sports. they powered through this engagement session without complaint despite it being one of the windiest day of the year. by the end of the evening i'm sure they were frozen, but you would have never known it with all the fun they were having! thanks nick and tammy!
alex and kirsten are such cool people, and they were so much fun at their engagement shoot tonight. we had a great time strolling on the beach. what a beautiful place to live! can't wait for their wedding next month!
